Local Elections: The "Do Better" Coalition presents Elisabete Luz as a candidate for the Alte Parish Council

During this session, Hélder Martins, candidate for mayor of Loulé, spoke about the commitments he will make in Alte, emphasizing the need to invest in improving infrastructure and services to improve the quality of life of the population.
Housing was a central topic of the session, a priority in the municipality's strategy. Hélder Martins argues that it is urgent to design and build housing for the more than 2,000 families waiting for a home and to implement housing support measures to help people settle within the municipality. The candidate announced his intention to launch new construction projects with more agile solutions capable of meeting the population's real needs.
Regarding the social sector, Hélder Martins criticized the "little investment made in the last 12 years," recalling that not a single nursing home has been built in the municipality and that only one daycare center has been completed.
"With the current waiting lists, it is unacceptable that no efforts have been channeled into meeting demand," he said.
The candidate mentioned the need to expand the Alte Home and create other social projects that bring dynamism to the countryside, giving as an example the ASAS project, which "so commendably contributes to active aging and social inclusion."
Regarding construction and infrastructure, Hélder Martins highlighted the repaving of Santa Margarida Road, including the creation of shoulders and sidewalks, as well as the redevelopment of Avenida 25 de Abril and Largo José Cavaco Vieira, as priorities. He also mentioned the importance of moving forward with the creation of a motorhome park in response to the growth of itinerant tourism in the municipality's interior.
In terms of education, "investment is needed to revitalize the Alte Vocational School, an educational institution that, despite its excellent conditions and qualified professionals, is limited in its capabilities and losing students," and "to create future synergies where there is a focus on unique teaching approaches aimed at areas and activities that invigorate the municipality's interior."
In sports, one of the intentions is to create a multipurpose pavilion, "where the community has a dignified space with the necessary equipment to practice various sports."
In turn, Elisabete Luz mentioned "the great confidence she has in all the members of the candidate list for the Alte Parish Council , as well as her certainty that Hélder Martins, as candidate for the Loulé Municipal Council, and Silvério Guerreiro, as candidate for the Municipal Assembly, will be the best bet to lead the municipality and bring it the dynamism that has been lacking."
"Our candidacy is made for people, with people, with soul and with truth," said the candidate, demonstrating openness and willingness to always listen to the Alte community, so that, together with her team, she can establish and implement the necessary projects in the parish.
The session also included interventions by Silvério Guerreiro, candidate for president of the Municipal Assembly; Mendes Bota, campaign manager; Bárbara Amaral Correia, member of the Democratic Alliance; Seruca Emídio, chair of the coalition's Honorary Committee; Eugénio Guerreiro, former president of the Alte Parish Council and member of the current candidate list; and Cátia Silva, one of the young candidates on the list for the Alte Parish Council. All expressed their great confidence in this project and its candidates.
Public presentations by the "Do Better" coalition will continue across the municipality's parishes, in this format of sharing ideas and getting closer to the population.
